MAPIM, also known as Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia is a well established organization who have been working on humanitarian relief projects locally and internationally, especially on helping Muslims who are affected by poverty, political conflicts, and oppression.

The committee members of MAPIM have recently arrived in Brunei for a series of official visits to several government agencies and local NGOs to discuss on establishing collaboration efforts in humanitarian works around the region and the rest of the world.

Leading this delegation was Tuan Hj Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid, the chairman of MAPIM, and present together were Dr Ahed Abu Alatta, the president of Palestine Scholars Association in Southeast Asia, and Dr Mohamad Fawzi Zakaria, advisor of MAPIM.

The fruitful meeting yesterday was indeed valuable for us to exchange knowledge and experiences as well as discuss the opportunities to work together in a humanitarian mission in the future.
